Bullying at the High SchoolReply to this Comment
I have a 15 year old son who is struggilng now, in school. He's mentioned before that there were kids at his school that were 'bullying' him. I notified the teachers and they dealt with it. Now because I've talked to my son about this, afterwards, he said he was called a "snitch" by his friends. He hangs out with these kids and wants to fit in with their crowd, even though they pick on him. I told him to change friends, but he's not really a 'talkative' type to people he doesn't know. He continues to try to fit in and still gets bullied. He's short for his age, and he's tried to morph himself into what they are (grundge, skateboarding).. it's not uncommon, but to raise a struggling teen who has anger issues and won't open up is really hard.
I'm really good with my son. He starts to open up to me, and we share some laughs, after he's calmed down, and then I "give in" and if he wants something, I'll get it.
What can I do?
