Why is it that every single topic I've seen makes the teen seem like a terrible person and the parent a victim?
I'm 18 years old. I smoke.
Do you want to know why?
My mother has been smoking around me my whole life. I always told myself I never would. I finally gave in when she offered me a cigarette. Why is it I can be blamed for my stupid mistake when it's mostly her doing? I find that terribly unfair.
I know the facts.
I know the risks.
And I know it was my own decision.
But why make me the bad guy?
