Free Behavior Resource Fact Sheets

Free Behavior Resource Fact Sheets

When it comes to locating reliable information about behavior problems, the government is an often overlooked behavior resource.  There are many free behavior resource publications produced by the government which are helpful for both parents and their children.  The reason these fact sheets are such an invaluable behavior resource is that they supply parents with information gathered from top researchers in a very simple and easy to understand format. This makes it very easy for many different types of people to be able to receive the same information.  It also helps to know that the information is designed to be reliable, not to sell a particular treatment, service or product.

A few of the many government-issued titles available that can help you develop a plan of behavior management for your child are:
1) Child and Adolescent Mental Health
2) Children and Adolescents with Anxiety Disorders
3) Children and Adolescents with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
4) Children and Adolescents with Autism
5) Children and Adolescents with Conduct Disorder
These informative fact sheets are also fantastic behavior resources for teachers, grand-parents and child-care workers when they are trying to figure out how to handle a child with behavioral problems.

There are countless other titles available from the governments which are great behavior resources for parents along with other caretakers. ‘Children and Adolescents with Anxiety Disorders’, and ‘Children and Adolescents with Autism’ are just two of the titles that are available for utilization in the treatment of behavioral disorders.

You can obtain copies of these government-issued behavior resource sheets in a couple of ways. You may either use a toll free number 1-800-789-2647 or visit the website http://mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/child.

‘Systems of Care’ is another behavior resource that can be used by families dealing with a child who suffers from a behavior disorder. This great resource is designed to assist families with children who are seriously emotionally disturbed or are suffering from extreme behavioral problems, to find the help they need to regain a normal life.  A fact sheet is available from Systems of Care by using the toll free number 1-800-789-2647.

i feel that there is not enough information given to parents when there child is diagnosed with a behavior disorder, i think the professionals that give these diagnossis should be reqired to implement a behavior modification program to teach parents and caregivers how to appropriately hand the behaviors.
