Hello, I am a stepmother to two beautiful teenage daughters who I have been a part of for 5 years. One, who is 15 has dabbled in pot and cocain but has been "caught" repromended and is being wtched very closely by her father and I. On the other hand, I have another teen stepdaughter, just turned 17 who smokes pot. Her father says there is really nothing we can do about it, he is watching her, they are going to do it no matter what we do as parents, and acuses me of "picking on her" when I bring up the fact that she lied to him about where she was suppose to be when she was out partying and doing things she shouldn't. Her grades are dropping, she has a very negetive attitude towards her family and "me" because she knows I know she lies to her dad and she knows I don't approve of her actions and cannot be sold to the idea like her father. Her stepsister (my daughter) and her sister all see it, her older brothers see it, her dad just doesn't want to cause "drama" and she knows that so she just keeps it up and has him where she wants him. It is beginning to cause stress in our marriage because I am trying to raise my daugther "drug free". I want to drug test them all at least bi-weekly, he threatens them with it but won't do it becuse he knows one will not pass and that will ead to conflict.....HELP!
